Here’s the other three of my initial six Poxwalkers. I completed these last night and so now these will be going up as the next part of my Zomtober 2019 pledge. Technically, the challenge asks participants to finish a model per week and get them posted up each Sunday. I’ve instead batched them in two sets of three, and so now with six, I feel I’ve participated nicely even if I don’t manage to get any more of these suckers completed.
These six have been done in the overall yellow-brown-ochre flesh scheme. The next batch of Poxwalkers I do will also be in the same overall look, and then once I get to the first set of duplicates, I’ll start to go down a different skin tone route, probably a little greenish.
And below, you can see the next few. There appear to still be some missing parts from my Poxwalkers from the Dark Imperium set, so there’s not quite the full set of them below. Not sure if I’ll actually manage to get any more models done in time for Zomtober – as much as I’d like to have a few more done for each week, I still haven’t finished a single goblinoid for my own Orctober Painting Challenge, nor the Dreadtober painting challenge!
Great looking Poxwalkers, even though you’ve used the same colour tones, they have a great individual look to each model, yet being unified enough for a unit

Thanks Dave – when they have clothes I’ll vary the clothing a bit more, while keeping them to reasonably feasable outfits. When they just have the widdle loincloths, I’ll just make them a green or brown that gives a little contrast to whatever flesh tones I happen to use for their skin…. 🙂

I see I’m back to agreeing with Dave again – always pays to wait a bit before commenting! Very nice minis! 🙂

I still await the day when you vehemently disagree with him in the comments, though!

Looking good! They fit in nicely with the first three.

Cheers, Alexis. The next batch should hopefully fit in just as nicely. Pretty easy when it’s Nurgle! 😉

They look great- next week’s job is to get some paints and try something similar on my own.
Cheers,
Pete.

I do like the way the contrast paints have worked on them. It might be just because they are nurgle. The more I see them, the more I think I’ll have to bite the bullet and try them.

They’re pretty good. Especially thinned with the medium, they have a lot of uses. I’m using them on a lot of the browns on my current dwarves as a slightly more subtle wash, as well as having a place with some of their beards.

This second batch looks great and it is impressive how quickly you’re knocking these out. You could have an army of Nurgle’s minions in no time if you keep up this pace! 🙂

Thanks mate – I started these six all at once, but broken them down to three at a time to get them finished – my usual method of semi-batch painting. So the second trio weren’t terribly far behind. Just a day of painting to get them to complete.

Not bad at all and it seems like batch painting was once again the way to go!

I’ve just gotten the next batch of them started. Not sure if they’ll be finished in time for Zomtober, but they’re on the way at least…

I’ll have to get some of the actual Marines painted up at some stage too, then!

Thanks, IM! These transcend just being “Warhammer” models pretty easily, I think. 🙂
