I worked on a bunch of Zombies during November. We were playing a bit of the Zombicide Night of the Living Dead side-game, and so I finally got working on the Fatties for Zombicide that had been sidelined for ages after cleaning and priming them. The colour scheme follows the same one I used on the Berserker Abominations a year or so earlier. Somehow, one of these models got lost and despite looking for it a few times over several months, I haven’t had any luck.
I’ve got some more zombies to show that have already been painted, and a bunch of Zombicide and LNoE survivors to finish (and start!), but the next batch of zombies I actually start will probably either be the Toxic Fatties or the Black and White ones from Night of the Living Dead…
Those look great and that’s a lovely, vibrant orange! Had to go check out the recipe, guess it’s time to get some orange and yellow Contrasts.

Thanks Mikko. It seems even brighter in the pics, though it’s pretty bloody vibrant even in hand!

They’re a nasty looking bunch! 🙂 I really like the orange!

Excellent work on all mate, you definitely wouldn’t want to see those coming down a cell corridor at you. The orange works really well with all the gore, which is surprising being so close in the colour spectrum, but you’ve pulled it off seamlessly

The orange and reds really pop and it is always cool seeing you paint some Zombicide stuff. These zombies wouldn’t look entirely out of place in The Walking Dead (maybe the proportions are off or not realistic but still!). Inspiring work as always, mate! 🙂

I’m confused by what’s going on with their chest/bellies. Some sort of over growth vs their ribs/sternum busting out vs something else?
The paint job is great. I like how it appears grotty/dirty but still bright and crisp. Interesting how that can be achieved.

Excellent work. The vibrant orange and gore effects work well with each other. You still maintain contrast despite the limited pallette. Gory, disgusting, brutal. The perfect trias for Zombies.
