In mid-January I started painting again after my close to 2-month break from the hobby, and so with a sense of “get these bloody things done” combined with wanting to do something relatively simple to ease myself back in, I went for some more of the Zombies that are a priority task. So I painted this batch of Toxic Zombie Walkers.
I amuse myself by thinking of them as a pack of Toxic Karens, posting endlessly on social media and then when out in the world endlessly demanding in their zombie-grooooans to “speeeeak to your maaanaggerrrr”. I think it’s the combination of the haircut and face along with that outstretched hand, swiping away at their now-long-lost phones.
As it happens, these will be my first entry in Dave Stone’s in the current Paint Whatchoogot Challenge for 23-4. These seven models also serve as my January 2024 Round-Up, since they’re all that I got done in the first month of this year. I’ll have the first of February’s models up in a day or two, though…

Great work Az. Love the toxic Karen descriptor!

Excellent job on the walkers, and you’ve got a good variation in them with the painting even though they are the same sculpt.

They look like a bunch of zombies to steer clear of (well, OK, any zombies would be I suppose)! 🙂

Nice work on these Karen’s, mate! These don’t look like all that easy of sculpts to work with, especially with how many wrinkles the clothes have. It’d be a pain carefully highlighting all of that or at least that is what I would think 🙂
