Zombicide 2nd Edition X Last Night On Earth: Character Crossover 3 – Timber Peak

Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivors: Jake Cartwright, Sally, Sherriff Anderson, Ed Baker

More figures on the Zombie-Sided part of our collection – these four being the last four previously-unpainted figures from unrelated Zombie game Last Night on Earth‘s Timber Peak expansion.

Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivors: Jake Cartwright, Sally, Sherriff Anderson, Ed Baker

Timber Peak features a few characters from the original core set – those who managed to canonically survive the events of the initial outbreak depicted in the first box, I guess. Regardless, following on the previous LNOE Zombicide cards we made several months ago, it was time to make some new ones for these four.

Last Night On Earth Survivor Sally

So first we have Sally. Her miniature looks much the same. Slightly longer hair, slightly longer axe handle, slightly shorter skirt. Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivor: Zombicide Card - Sally, Woodinvale Survivor

We also made up a new Zombicide Survivor card for these returning survivors, with a few upgrades but trying not to go as far as the official “Ultimate Survivor” figures.

Same deal with Jake. He appears to have turned his fur-lined ushanka cap around, as it looks like he was wearing it inside out in his initial run. Perhaps he just found a better one. He also traded in his axes for a rifle, so we just tweaked some skills to reflect that, and have him a basic rifle as starting gear as an “upgraded” version of the survivor.

Last Night On Earth Survivor Sherriff Anderson

Sherriff Anderson has in some ways had the biggest change. He ditched his jacket but apparently was able to get leg-lengthening surgery in the interim. His hat is also a couple of sizes smaller, and so to match that he also had his head shrunk by a size or two.

All very normal looking – and a real triumph in boardgame miniature sculpting!

Again – just a few upgrades from the original in the vein of not-quite-as-extreme Ultimate Survivors.

Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivor: Zombicide Card - Ed Baker, Lumberjack

We then have Ed Baker – a new character from this expansion.

Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivor: Zombicide Card - Alice, Diner Waitress Last Night On Earth: Timber Peak Survivor: Zombicide Card - Nikki, Bush Pilot

We also made cards for the other two Timber Peak survivor models awhile ago, so why not include them in this post? Alice the Diner Waitress and Nikki the Bush Pilot. Once again, these cards were all made thanks to Wuxyteo’s website (not linked due to not secure – google it and you’ll be good).

And with that, we’re done for this post. These figures were painted in December over a few days after finishing work for the year, and so they just about fit in with Dave Stone’s Paint What You Got Challenge 24-25 challenge concluding this month. How many models do I need to post up before the 28th of February that I finished in January and February?

What’s the date today?

Oh!

Massive Darkness 2: Chests – Again! (Chests and Pillars 3D Pack), GW(!) Munitorum Crates.

Massive Darkness 2: Chests and Pillars 3D Pack

This post is a little out of sequence – not that it matters – especially this late. We’ve got some chests painted at the end of December (below, but missing one), as well as a whole ton of chests painted in January (above). The reason, obviously is because a mass of treasure chests from a miniatures boardgame is not the most interesting thing to post up on the internet. As with the previous batch of these, I’ve tried to vary them a bit, but also with that previous batch in mind, I’ve kept the colourful chests to just the “Special” chests – that is – the more squat/wider ones. Between these and the previous batch it should give me enough variety when needed as well as the ability to have “special” chests of whatever colour for whatever game.

Massive Darkness 2: Chests and Pillars 3D Pack

From counting the pillars I have (18!~) it seems like I bought three of these packs, which should mean I have 45 of the “normal” chests and then 12 of the “special” chests. Then again the Chests and Pillars pack was something from both MD1 and MD2, so I probably picked up at least one from each campaign – something I can easily imagine myself doing if I hadn’t started painting the ones from MD1 when the second campaign rolled around with no clue if I already had some – possibly they threw some in as KS extras? I dunno. I could check the KS invoices but I don’t care anymore at this point. I just hope I don’t stumble across another batch of chests or pillars in the future…

Games Workshop Citadel Munitorum Crates

Since this is a post full of boxes, here’s some more I did at the end of December – Some GW(!) crates, I believe these are from, the older set with the shipping palettes and some barrels, but I think they’re the same as the more recent Munitorum Armoured Container set with the shipping containers. I actually got these ones from eBay many years ago in a job lot with a bunch of other stuff, and they turned out to be pretty obvious recasts (along with about half of the rest of the purchase) – the result of that being that I cracked the shits with them and dumped them into a container until recently, when I found them again mixed in with some of these chests, and decided to just paint the things and get them done. Marouda helped with the brown chests and green chests applying base colour and washes but lost interest in finishing them, that’s how interesting they were (and how helpful she turned out to be!)

All of these were painted in the window for Dave Stone’s Paint What You Got Challenge 24-25. I guess I need to get my arse to work posting the rest of December-January-February’s models up…
