D&D ̶Monster Manual: The Legend of Drizzt - Jarlaxle Baenre, Drow Mercenary, Artemis Entreri, Human Assassin

Finally I’ve now completed the final pair of the Villain models from The Legend of Drizzt Dungeons and Dragons Adventure Boardgame. Once again, these models are mediocre at best, but at least with gaming-motivation I was able to get hem painted pretty quickly and they’ll look okay on the table (until I can find better replacements!). Jaraxle is another Drow, described as “A Dandy”, hence the pimp hat, though his flashy, purple-heavy outfit works for Drow, Dark Elves and… Stereotypical Pimps, I guess….

Artemis is a Human Assassin, who doesn’t have an especially interesting backstory either – hopefully he’ll be an easy enough miniature to replace with …something. Something from Nolzurs or Reaper, though Nolzurs are a lot more accessable ’round these parts. This justr leaves a few of the Hero models to go, though I (sadly) realised I was still short another(!) pair of them and then almost more sadly found them, so there’s still another five models from this set to complete…

As said, though – they do look completely usable and fine on the tabletop for a boardgame. Here’s a pic of Marouda using a proxy for Wrathgar to cut down Shimmergloom to win us the third scenario. We’re still using proxies for the heroes as I haven’t completed painting any of them at this stage aside from Cattie-Brie

I’ve now painted the final pair of all-out villains from The Legend of Drizzt Dungeons and Dragons Adventure Boardgame, with Yvonnel Baenre, Drow Matron Mother and Methil El-Viddenvelp, Mind Flayer. As upper-tier characters in the Drow hierarchy (AFAIK) I painted these with a bit more colour and bling. I gave the Matron Mother model a darker Drow skin compared to many of the others I’ve painted as a way to make her stand out and as a reflection of her status.

Once again, these models were apparently sculpted in chewing gum before being cast in cheap and nasty bendy PVC, but they’ll both be totally fine as models for use in the tabletop boardgame, and we’re now down to five or six remaining models to complete the set – two “Villains” that can also be played as Player Characters, three heroes and also I think I lost the Halfling Thief Player Character’s mini…
