Round-Up time! Today we have the combined post for both January and February as I’ve had a few hiccups when it comes to posting my stuff lately.
Despite my best intentions, I didn’t get much of my “large” terrain done over the summer months – I did finally manage to finish the Forge World Tyranid Capillary Towers after many years sitting unstarted and then several years sitting part-painted – but none of the others!
I did manage to do my usual and get a whole bunch of scatter terrain painted – particularly a bunch of crate barricades and picket fences from Mantic’s TerrainCrate, as well as some 3d printed barrels and more bloody treasure chests.
Overall, it was still a productive period of time for hobbying, even though I wasn’t really posting.
What did I get done?
3 Tyranid Spikes, 5 Ms.Marvels, 12 Zombicide Survivors & Zombivors, 4 Mars Attacks models, 6 barrel stacks, 46 chests, 14 Mantic crate barricades and 30 Mantic picket fences for a total of 120 pieces. A big number overall, but a huge proportion there is of course bits of smaller, scatter terrain – even though all of the figures there are “hero” figures.
And – oh yeah – all this crap counts towards Dave Stone’s Paint What You Got Challenge 24-25 as well! Now I’ll take a couple of days to catch my breath to give my poor typing fingers a rest, and then get onto posting March’s Models shortly…

Fantastic output mate, and a veritable conglomeration as well. Your fingers deserve a rest from all the posting you’ve done to catch up, and we are still in March, so a good chance to get March’s roundup early in April ! LOL

Thanks Dave – funny you mention my fingers as I sliced myself open cleaning garden shears last week which led to that little …delay in my daily catch-up posts. I’m now typing with the “wrong” finger but getting a little better at it. My painting has been …limited since then but learning/trying to paint without my pointer finger in use has certainly been something different!
If I don’t get much else finished this month, it’ll mean the March roundup happens sooner at least! 😮

That’s quite a bit done when you see it all like that! 🙂

Thanks John – I can usually get a bit done during the summer with the break from work added in there as well. 🙂

That is an excellent haul, mate. It really covers a lot of ground on the table/mat which is what you want. Those Tyranid spires will make for some really nice 40k games in the future too. They really stick out and look ominous amongst the other terrain.

For sure – if nothing else, all this scatter and fences take up a lot of table space! Due to the incident I mention in my response to Dave above, I’ve mostly been working on terrain in the last week as it’s a lot more forgiving so who knows how this month will turn out. 🙂

I hope you’re on the mend and feeling better soon!

Thanks fo the well-wishes. I can basically only paint terrain still, but I’m hoping to get my finger back later this week or maybe next week.

Thanks Wudu – I probably need to take a bit of a break from scatter terrain sometime soon, though!
