Several months ago, when I was much closer to the start of this Epic scale project, I printed and painted a large, damaged skyscraper from Fabricator’s Lair on MyMiniFactory that came from the Epic Scale Grimdark Gothic Buildings Set #1. Today, I have another two damaged “pre-designed” buildings from the same set, though the lot can be aquired from the Epic Sector Sanctuary set – which is the bundle that I purchased to get all of these.
First up we have this “+”-shaped building that’s pretty blasted up. A pretty good looking piece – just don’t point out the fact that despite the visible internal doors there’s no entry/exits on the ground floor!
In contrast, this brick of a building has rather large doorways on both sides of the ground floor. Much more sensible, if you ask me! If I were painting these for display purposes like our friend Kuribo, I may have picked out some of the rubble bricks in slightly different shades rather than the easier overall drybrushing and washing, but that’s the nature of gaming models versus display pieces! 😉
Here’s a slightly more spaced out shot of the two of these together. These are more of my July-August models (I’ve only just started finishing models for September – so I’ll finish the earlier ones first!) As per usual, these ones count as more models for Dave Stone’s Season of Scenery ’25.
