Again with the 3D printed buildings! Into April my finger was still messed up so the best I could manage in terms of painting was relatively simple 3d printed terrain pieces. These ones come from a creator called “MillerBro” and are his collection of 1/100 scale (15mm) low detail Buildings.

The first building here – the one I printed in 15mm acale is listed as “officers100” so I assume it’s supposed to be an officer’s quarters in 1/100 scale. To me it looked more like the sort of kiosk building that you see with tourists’ information than something for officers.

Here it is alongside some of my 15mm WWII models for scale. I really need to get some modern 15mm stuff painted, but give it time…  It’s not a bad little one. I also decided to try to shrink it down, since the creator mentions that he scaled up some of his 1/285 buildings.

Here it is again, but smaller! I did a pair of them in the smaller scale. One day I’ll get some tiny tanks or walkers painted to do the comparison thing! I couldn’t get to my Flames of War stuff to show alongside the 15mm/1:100 building, but I’ll get to that later on this week (hopefully) and maybe sneak-edit a shot into this post.

And here we are – some “Epic” miniatures alongside these tiny houses to help visualise their scale properly.

This one is called “100apartmentssmall3level.stl” – though again this is the re-shrunk down version to go with the Battletech/Epic scale buildings. These are tiny when compared to both styles of the other buildings I’ve shown from March’s models – and again I’ll throw in some scale shots when I can!

And again! Scale shot stealth edit.

Fabricator’s Lair 3D Prints: Epic-Scale Grimdark (damaged) Gothic Building

Epic Sector : Sanctuary. Fabricator's Lair 3D Prints: Epic-Scale Grimdark (damaged) Gothic Building

Today I have yet another 3D printed Epic Scale building. This time, though it’s a paid one rather than a free STL. I picked this one up from Fabricator’s Lair on MyMiniFactory. This building comes from the Epic Scale Grimdark Gothinc Buildings Set #1 (try saying that five times fast!) but I actually purchased it as part of the Epic Sector: Sanctuary bundle – kind of like a buy-in Kickstarter thing as it contains a number of premade builds as well as literally hundreds of other elements, from road sections to bridges, premade buildings, modular buildings, scatter terrain and basically tons more. Basically, an incredible value – and nope – I didn’t get these for free and have no affiliation with the sculptor. I actually found these when I was looking for free buildings using Google and Yeggi, saw the images of some of the larger “government” type buildings, saw that someone was selling them on eBay as prints for quite a decent sum, then spent some time using GIS/Google Lens to eventually find where they came from, before purchasing the bundle.

I’ve got quite a fair few more of these prints that I still need to clean up and then paint. As I’ve mentioned, Flippy Never Sleeps and so the production happens faster than I can paint anything as it is, but the clean up is the tricksy part to be honest. The details on these buildings lend themselves well to looking good easily with fast techniques, which I’m definitely a fan of. The sculptor has just finished another campaign, Epic Sector: Industry which can also be picked up as a MMF purchase (and I paid for that oen myself, also). I’ve only run the little free test building from that one so far, but it seemed to be a cleaner FDM print so cleanup on those should be much faster!

I’ve now added in this comparison shot with a few stompy robots and tiny tanks and little mans so that you can see how this one is SO much bigger than all of the others I’ve shown so far. One day I should actually get some painted models finished to place alongside these buildings!
