Zombicide Survivors & Zombivors Adam (Angry Neighbors) & Parker (Rue Morgue)

More Zombicide! This time we have two boxed-set Survivors from Season 3.

First we have Adam, who is based on a real person who went for the expensive “I am Legend” pledge in Season 2’s KS campaign resulting in them being turned into a survivor in Season 3. Adam’s full name is easily found, though I’m not going to repeat it here. I have …issues with this one. It looks like Adam is one of those people who decided that he desperately wanted his miniature to be as “interesting” as possible, so he went all-out to wear every stupid little thing he owns – from, Chucks to camo pants with kneepads to a skull t-shirt, to little badges on the t-shirt, a bum bag (fanny pack), arm bandages, fingerless gloves with studded knuckles and even a Top Hat. Adam’s probably a nice guy in real life but the figure comes across as very tryhard and was just annoying and not much fun to paint.

Our second model for today is “Parker” with no particular inspiration and not based on a backer. As you can see here, Laurie’s clothing design is much simpler and more elegant. There’s some details there but the figure doesn’t come across as overly busy or cartoonishly loud. I don’t have a ton else to say about Parker. She’s totally fine. Once again, these figures qualify for Dave Stone’s Paint What You Got Challenge 24-25, and Parker also does Fembruary!

  1. Fantastic job on both mate, especially with how busy Adam is, I’ve actually seen simpler get ups at the Wasteland Weekend, which is loosely based off of Mad Max ! LOL Out of the two I prefer Parker for it’s simple but effective outfit choices.

    • Yep, same here. You can have a complex outfit that’s cohesive and looks good – pretty much any of the gang in Mad Max 2 or a good chunk of the characters in Fury Road have a lot going on but they still look very cohesive as opposed to putting on every “interesting” bit of clothing that they own at once.

  2. I agree that something doesn’t quite work well with Adam’s design. Its busy but lacking cohesion. As a side note, he does look like people I’ve seen at Adepticon so I guess it is at least somewhat realistic in that sense 🙂 Great job on these both and its always a pleasure to see you working on some Zombicide minis!

    • I’ll definitely buy that – a geek dressed up for a con desperately trying to look interesting!

I’ve got a few more Zombiciders painted from March, though we may have a bit of a delay getting as many done as I’d hoped to this month. 😮
