April 2025 Monthly Round-Up

Another month-late monthly round-up! Welcome to April!

I didn’t get a whole lot finished in April. Just not nearly as much time spent painting overall, but there was also quite a lot of stuff that simply didn’t get completed in the month. Much like May, really, as we’ll see soon enough. To be fair, though – my finger was still messed up for a good chunk of the month.
A few zombies, a few buildings, and a couple of Masters of the Universe (they sound so grand, don’t they?)
All in all, a total of only 18 models for April. Add those to the 149 completed models circa the end of March and we have 168 in total. Quick edit here – I forgot to count (and photograph) the half-dozen tiny versions of the Brown apartment buldings shown here “barracks100” – so that makes March’s totals a slightly more resepctable 24 models and a total of 174.
Not that anyone besides me cares or will ever read this, of course….

  1. 18 high quality paint jobs in a month with a messed up finger is still a great output mate, look forward to seeing what you got done in May.

    • Thanks Dave – gonna try to get through May’s posts a bit quicker. I’ve been working on a few this evening so we’ll have new stuff up every 2 days for a while.

I like to let posts sit a little – daily posts can feel overwhelming as a reader, so as a blogger I ideally prefer to space them out a bit more to “breathe” – except for the nothingburgers and less important ones where I’ll have a post the following day instead.

Also going to take a bunch of photos tomorrow and probably stack together a whole lot of similar terrain done in May, where in a normal “finish and then post it” month we’d have them spead over about 4 posts.

If I really do well, we’ll have some of June’s models show up here during June! 😮

  2. I agree with Dave, you did well considering the injury. As I mentioned before, this month’s work was inspiring to me so I’ll be looking forward to seeing what else you’ve been up to in the near future!

    • Thanks Pat! I’ve now got one of those movie-style fingerprints with the scar across it! More positively, it’s feeling a lot less weird now, so hopefully the feeling returns to normal eventually.
