Today’s painted 3D print is something a little different, and quite cool I think – it’s a buried 20th Century Fox logo inspired by the one seen in Deadpool and Wolverine which in turn was pretty clearly inspired by the classic scene featuring The Statue of Liberty in Planet of the Apes (1968).
There are actually at least a couple of these sculpts floating around out there. I elected not to go for the one asking for AU$45, but instead the one available for $FREE over on Makerworld, created by Isekai Heavy Industries. If you’re interested in potentially printing it in the future, it might now be a bad idea to go get it now in case it gets removed at some stage.
I don’t have either Deadpool or Wolverine painted (yet!), so please accept their stand-ins, Bob, Agent of Hydra and Logan.
It’s obviously perfect for Marvel Crisis Protocol – in fact, I originally saw it on a Crisis Protocol table – over on Argentbadger’s blog The Bovine Overlord. And you know, the moment I saw it, I knew I needed to seek it out and print it for myself – and a couple of months’ turnarouns is pretty damn quick for me! If you’re interested in seeing painted Crisis Protocol models and battle reports, I’d suggest checking out his pages – AB gets through a hell of a lot more MCP content than I manage to do!
I’ve only got a couple of X-Men painted so far – but here are Logan and Hank saluting the end of Murdoch’s movie empire!
And yes indeed – another September-completed piece for Dave Stone’s Season of Scenery ’25 – Extended Edition. I promise, we’re now in the final few posts – only a half-dozen more to go! 😮

Planet of the Apes is what I first thought of too! Its a really cool idea to incorporate it in battlefield terrain as well. What will they think of next!? 🙂

Thanks to the 3rd Deadpool film this sunken logo is, as you say, absolutely perfect for the theme of Marvel Crisis Protocol. I’m glad to see it being modelled here with Beast and Logan.

Thanks mate! It’s due to your batreps that I have it now. Having said that, I’ve got a few more MCP models to get finished and then perhaps I can bump up Wolvie and Wade in the paint queue!
