We’re still solidly showing August’s models at the moment with another pair of Film-inspired Zombicide Survivors.
First up we have “Achille” who is based on everyone’s favourite Serial Killer/Psychologist, Hannibal Lecter. The artwork has a stronger resemblance to Anthony Hopkins than the actual model, but it’ll work in-game. I was pleased when the dark sea-green jumpsuit from the card art actually matched some stills from the films, so painting him turned out to be pretty straightforward.
At some point in the near-to-medium future, I’ll have to repost this model alongside the game’s version of Clarice Starling – who I posted here a mere 8 years ago – coincidently – to the very day!
Today’s second model is “Gary” who provides us with Zombicide’s take on Jeff Bridges’ “The Dude” from that surprisingly well-celebrated cult Cohen Brothers film, “The Big Lebowski”. The dude wasn’t as annooying to paint as I’d feared. The simple tartan on his shorts wasn’t something I was looking forward to, but it worked well enough in the end, and I’m happy with how the highlighting and shading on his dressing gown turned out.
Not exactly the best miniature I’ve painted for Zombicide, but it’ll work well enough on the tabletop. As with Hannibal above, this figure also has a “partner” model that I painted some time ago. In this case it’s John Goodman’s Walter Sobchak.
At this point I don’t feel like I will actually get all of my 1st Edition Zombicide models done by the end of 2023, though it may be possible at least to get the survivors finished…
perhaps.
