Today’s models return us to CMON’s Marvel Zombies bystanders. This time we have Sharon Carter from Captain America’s cast along with J. Jonah Jameson from Spidey’s backing band. Sharon appears to often wear white or silver-grey suits with black or brown belts and light webbing gear with a fair bit of variation, so I more or less followed that line, and painted her pistols in a blued steel to continue the theme.
Jameson on the other hand has his civvies on. As with a few of the other models painted recently, I gave him the impression of pinstripes on his trousers (so sick of pinstriped clothing now!) but otherwise pretty simple, clean and neat clothing.
Both of these were started and finished this month, but I’ll still count Sharon as a FeMarch model for my own benefit. Once again both of these figures represent bystanders, though I guess Sharon would probably be on the edge of being playable as a hero in the game due to simply being a highly trained but unpowered human – not quite on Natasha’s level as she has some Soviet Super Soldier Serum in her veins according to some of the background versions. They’ll certainly both be suitable for custom characters for standard Zombicide, though!
Fantastic! Love the newspaper

Cheers mate – sculpted details but appreciated nonetheless!

Both look great and easily recognizable! The freehand on the paper really sells it! 😃

Thanks mate – not freehand this time, but it does work well for the figure!

Awesome work on both mate, as white can be a tricky one to pull off, but you’ve nailed it, and love the details on Jameson, including the newspaper and the grey sides to his hair.

Thanks Dave – the sculpting did a lot of the hard work on this one, with some very nice folds on his shirt. 🙂

Very nice work, mate. JJJ is immediately recognizable thanks to your brushwork. I agree with everyone else that newspaper freehand is top notch too! 🙂 His obsession with Spider-Man can be a bit silly at times but your idea to add that to the newspaper is gold in my book!

Thanks mate – I have to say that the newspaper’s detals are debossed into the figure, so I just “filled them in” on this occasion! They also widened his moustache from the “toothbrush” style that he wears in the comics, but on a figure this size it’s fine. 🙂

I would have never guessed. You could have tricked us all and said you spent 50 hours on the freehand and we probably would have believed you! 🙂

The voodoo priestess’ dress, on the other hand…

We don’t know either of the two characters – we need to do a good review of comics…
However, we agree with the other comments, the effect is very nice, and your ability to paint the clothes does a lot, especially in the white-grey colour of Sharon’s suit, anything but easy.

Thanks mate. Once again credit to the sculptor for Sharon as their clean work made her painting easy and quick. I have to admit I am not familiar with Sharon’s comic version – just the version from the MCU. Jameson on the other hand I know well from years of reading Spider-Man when I was younger. 👍

Both very nice! :-) I’ve been paying attention, so I know that the newspaper detail is moulded on, but it’s painted up really well (not always that easy to do, well, OK, at least nor for me!)!

Thanks John – it was actually a bit of a pain to get in there without making a mess! 🙂
