June 2026 Monthly Round-Up

Today we have a rather strongly themed monthly round-up for June’s models. Yep! Every one of June’s completed models are from a single faction in a single game. Not that I didn’t also work on a bunch of other random things, but the completed stuff did manage to be tightly focused.

Not that I didn’t also work on a bunch of other random models over the course of the month as the most common way I paint models isn’t actually painting a few from start to finish, but chipping away at often up to a couple dozen of models at once, and then focusing on a few at a time to complete.

The really nice thing about June’s progress is that when I combine these models with the few Imperials I’ve completed previously like Vader, Krennic, Veers, Officers – even without Palpatine and his Guards – I’ve now got a playable force for Legion, even if it’s far from optimised in any way.

I’ve got another trooper squad and a few extra add-ons to paint before I rotate over to painting Rebels en masse, but yeah – those will be the next mass of trooper-types after a few more Imperials. Unless I get distracted again.

The next post will bring us into July’s models, so we’ll start to see the Season of Scenery stuff I’ve been working on begin to be shown.

    • Perhaps not ever, but it might be. The closest I can recall off the top of my head was when I was heavily focused on painting KoW units quite a few years ago.

As for getting a game in, it will depend heavily on when I can get enough Rebel Scum painted to oppose them. I’ve got a few more of Palpatine’s minions to get done before I can focus fully on the filthy insurgents, though…

  1. What a lovely family photo 😀 Its awesome that you were able to stay focused and paint so much Imperial stuff in a month. That is no small feat and it makes for a spectacular group shot!
