Continuing with the Star Wars-ish theme as we move into July and Dave Stone’s Season of Scenery 2026, I’ve got a whole bunch of printed computer consoles painted in a “Star Wars Imperial” style. I was inspired to print and paint these by watching through Chris Peach aka “Peachy”‘s series of YouTube videos showing the start of a Star Wars-Themed Five Parsecs from Home campaign, titled “The Rambolorian” and seeing some of the terrain he was using.
Sablebadger, aka Brander Roullett has a fair few Star Wars-themed STLs available at no cost on Myminifactory and also some of them are also on Thingiverse as well (I think!) Finding these after watching the above videos, I printed a few of these and also mirroed a few of them and printed them that way as well. You can see that Flippy was having some issues with print lines when I was painting some of these, but with a hotend heating asembly replacement, I’m hopeful that these issues will be past.
While I could have sanded and filed, and fillered these, it simply isn’t worth the time to do so when I can print these in a couple of hours. These aren’t painting competition diorama pieces, they’re cheap & cheerful bits of terrain that will still look quite effective on a table. Painting the buttons was far more painful then painting the screen details, but they turned out quite well I think, all things considered!

Fantastic consoles, perfect for any Imperial setting, the details really sell them, might need to get some of these myself ! LOL

Thanks Dave. They’re quick and easy prints. You really need to get yourself a Bambulab A1 if you have the opportunity. Maybe as something for the apprentice to get his STEM skills up by doing the graft of making things to order for you.

Its been a minute since I’ve watched Star Wars but to me, these nail the look of imperial computer technology personally. Great job painting these up, mate! 🙂
