So, I mean, technically, this is another Squadron rather than a set of reinforcements for my previous set of these as three models is a self-contained unit. In fact this trio of Shermans will be mixed in with the others, and the two vehicles with tank commanders will serve to designate my command tanks for my Sherman company, as I built and painted the first ones without ever having read the FoW rules (since 1st edition, anyway – and that was a little while ago!) and so missed the importance of needing to be able to see which tanks are the command ones at a glance.
The addition of these three gives me a command platoon of three, as well as two Sherman platoons, also of three each – and as such – a rather basic, self-contained Sherman company without needing to dip into Lee/grants to make up the numbers or anything like that. Of course, I could still add seven more Shermans to give myself the option of a max-strength Sherman Company, although that really does seem like a waste, given the large variety and number of other tanks I already have painted for this force – and the literally hundreds (probably) of other 15mm tanks I have yet to paint!
Lovely job mate 👍👍

Very nicely done! 🙂 Good idea putting the commanders in to represent command elements – easier than trying to spot different tactical symbols on the models.

Cheers, John. Yeah, we found that when we used them in a game – we were using stowage to tell them apart! 😮

Only hundreds of tanks still to paint. You disappoint me!! Great work on the Shermans.

Ha! Well, most of the tanks are recent additions, so I have an excuse! Thanks mate!

Excellent work on your latest Sherman’s mate, and clever work on making things more easily recognisable at a distance

Thanks Dave! Though not all that clever – it’s actually standard modelling practise for FoW – I simply was unaware of that when I built and painted my first tanks! 🙂

Thanks Pete – I’m not upset though to be leaving it in the past! 😀

These look very nice, indeed! I think you put a lot of detail in these, especially considering the small scale.

Thanks Kuribo! I will say, the weathering adds a lot to these!

As others have said, these are gorgeous! I think you’re doing a great job disguising how small these models actually are.
And every time I see nicely painted FoW models like these, I start thinking about a small collection of my own.. Especially now that I’ve learned that Finns are a thing in FoW/Konflict’47!

Thank you!
And Finns are definitely a thing in FoW – Bagration Axis Allies for Late War, or White Death for Mid-War (though you can use most of the models across both eras).
I didn’t know that Finns are in K’47, but it makes sense with the forces being part of Bolt Action – both Guru PIG and Pete S/ SP have been working on theirs recently in 28mm:
