And a third pair of CMON’s Marvel Zombies bystanders in a row – that’s right, I just went on a bit of a run with these as a nice kind of simple palette cleanser models. Today we have the comics version of Ben Urich as well as Jimmy Woo. Jimmy here is different from the MCU version due to his blue-grey suit, while Ben Urich here is a little more different to his remixed version.
These two look like they’d make a decent investigative team. A shame that these models are just cannon fodder tokens in the Marvel Zombies game, which is why Marouda and I like to create custom cards to use them as survivors in the more general Zombicide games. We were also working on some house rules to crossover the Superheroes and the regular Zombicide survivors, though we’ll need to get back to playing Zombicide to get some more games in.

Excellent work on both, so nice to see normal looking models for a game, wish there was more models like these for other ranges.

Ben Urich has definitely seen a lot of makeovers over the years! I’m used to seeing him a bit older than this but he’s a fun character no matter his age. Both of these look great and I look forward to seeing more Marvel stuff as you get around to it!

Cheers, mate! I’ve just been pretty much following the card art for these. Age has always been somewhat elastic for comic characters which doesn’t really make sense but was always understandable given serialised stories featuiring characters created decades ago that can only progress at the pace of 12 issues a year . I’m less charitable about the endless gender and race swaps that are all the rage these days, though!
These Marvel figures were some of the last ones I did last month, but also far easier to photograph than some of the bigger stuff so these got photographed first – so there’s a few more painted Marvel civilians to come when I get a few other March-April posts out of the way!

For sure, they’re happy make age adjustments as needed and I think fans are pretty okay with it for the most part too. Sounds good to me. I’m curious what other civilians there might be!
