I’m back again after another little break until I was able to make time (and a clear table) for another big batch of photos. This time we have another pair of 1:1 prints – Bolt Pistols!
As with the previous prints of this type that I shared – the MK.V Godwyn Pattern Boltguns – I went with a nice metallic red and metallic green. Unlike the previous prints, the screws in the casing are just surface detail that I may paint in a bit later.
As you can see, even though this is a piece of “fan art”, there’s a bit of an discrepency between the size of the bolter rounds that could fit into the magazine and the barrel size. Still, given that this is a free and freely available fan art model of a toy gun from a pretty pulpy science-fantasy universe, I’m still pretty good with it – especially due to the “rule of cool”.
This particular model also features a removable magazine. In lieu of gluing them in for the time being, I’ve chosen to use blu-tac to hold them in, and it’s working fine so far.
Thanks to Marouda for the use of her feminine hand modelling skills here. You may also notice her trigger discipline as well!
These were printed quite awhile ago now, and then assembled sometime later, over the Easter break. I got some of the shots not too long afterwards, but only grabbed the last couple ones I wanted yesterday. Hope you enjoyed seeing these! I’ll be back to more normal models again with my next post!
