It’s been a long, long time since I read Daredevil comics. I had a good chunk of (one of) Frank Miller’s runs, but I don’t recall all that much about them. I watched part of the Netflix series and I do remember both Foggy and karen from the series, but didn’t especially like either of these characters, finding Karen particularly annoying. I much preferred Rosario Dawson’s character, as well as, obviously, Matt.
The good news here is that as miniatures, I don’t need to listen to either of these characters annoy or bore me. I can simply save them or eat them, depending on which version of the boardgame I’m playing, and they both work just fine as generic civilians as well. They both painted up fairly smoothly with schemes chosen to match the card art. Since I couldn’t get Karen’s sculpt to look particularly feminine or attractive, I think I did manage to make her look like she really does need to speak to your manager while Foggy looks on with a resigned sideeye.

Fantastic work on both characters Azazael, you’ve made both interesting, and as you say you can either save them or eat them depending how you feel on the day ! LOL

Thanks Dave! As you’ve noted in the past, aside from Marvel Zombies, I’ll have an ok number of generic civilians for modern games. Some, like Karen here could even work in games like Star Wars as her clothing is generic enough to fit there as well!

Ok, so I won’t say it.
They’re very nice!

Haha thanks Frank – To be fair, I think these two have turned out with better faces than the last pair! 😉

I liked Foggy, Karen, and Rosario Dawson’s character (was she the Night Nurse?) on the show 🙂 I love seeing these minis as well. Both of them capture the show really well. I love the character of Daredevil, the TV show (the first three seasons anyway, I haven’t watched the relaunched version yet), and some of the comic runs. Matt Murdock is one of the best when done right!

Yeha Rosario was apparenlty a hybrid of Night Nurse and some other minor character, but most importantly, she wasn’t annoying like the other two! I have a couple of DD runs from the 80’s and 90’s in storage somewhere, and I generally like DD and his stories. He’s one of the heroes I’ll probably paint sooner rather than later once I finish these bystanders!

I like the sound of that and I look forward to your interpretation!

Just looking up the character’s name because I’d forgotten it – apparently Night Nurse’s original name was Linda Carter, which is amusing for an obvious reason. She was also a hot blonde, which was changed a bit more when they combined her for Daredevil with and as Claire Temple.
