A couple of mouldy oldies today – a pair of Skellingtons from the Original MB/GW co-production of Heroquest from my 1989 copy. Sure, these took more than a little while to get painted, but now they’ve finally been started and finished. Only a few decades late!
Now there should be another pair of Skeletons from the set, so I may well have to go delving and foraging in my game boxes to see if I actually still have the other two, but for the time being these two are done!
These are my first February models that also qualify for entry in Dave Stone’s in the current Paint Whatchoogot Challenge for 23-4, and were indeed painted due to the challenge (and seeing them on the table and thinking I could get them done relatively quickly for it!)

Oh, the skeletons of HeroQuest, how nostalgic! Well done, especially the rusty blades of their scythes. Ours are still bone white (unpainted) after all this time…

Wow that is a real blast from the past mate, and you’ve done a great job on them from the rusty blades to the bone work, giving them a real sense of unlife

Spot on! :-) Really nicely done and some nasty rusty blades there!

These guys have a real menacing grin! This is well before my time in the hobby so they’re new to me as well. I think the sculpts hold up really well, especially when nicely painted 🙂

What’s not to love about these? They are as iconic as your paintjob is cool!

I’m still a fan of these classic models. I also love the rust effect you’ve done here!
