D&D Monster Manual 26: Wrath of Ashardalon – Legion Devils

D&D Wrath of Ashardalon - Legion Devils

Probably my least-favourites from the Wrath of Ashardalon box, both in terms of gameplay and models, we have the Legion Devils. Really poor, and ill-defined details (or lack thereof). I went with a stereotypical red skin as a visual shorthand for “Devils” and then went with green-tinted armour and items (and eyes) as a colour reference to the Fel Fire of World of Warcraft’s Burning Legion. Also because red and green are complimentary, and these figures, shit-awful as they are would look a little more interesting on the tabletop with that extra contrast. As I was getting to the end of these, I decided to leave thse models without mouths. Why don’t they have mouths? Two reasons.

  1. The detail is just that poor. There are no obvious or visible mouth on this sculpt.
  2. While I could have painted in a thin line quite easily, leaving it blank is a bit more horrifying. And they’re Devils. So… you get it.
