Despite everything else going on, at the start of the month, I did still manage to paint another pair of Zombicide Survivors from the Season 3 Core set – Rue Morgue.
I wanted to give Cathy here a rougher looking leather jacket. Not sure if it looks like rough material or just a rough paintjob, but experimenting is the name of the game, and the model is certainly good enough for the tabletop!
Her sword(s) have a bit of wonk to them due to the soft PVC that the model is made from. It’s one of those “not much I can do about it” kinda things when it comes down to it.
Cathy’s partner in crime today is Cathy. Just as with Laurie, there’s not much to say about her as both characters’ models are pretty straightforward. Just a person in civilian clothes with a few weapons.

The thing that amuses me the most about this pair is their names actually. Because they’re hilarious to say out loud together in both a stereotypical hollywood thick French accent as well as in the stereotypical strine, flat bogan Australian accent. Simple things, as they say…
As a little bonus, I did a small repaint on the T-shirt that “Azaghal” is wearing to complete his transition into Taz. If you know Taz, you can see the start of his Team Taz shirt under his arms on the front.
And on the back we have the Team Taz “T” Logo. It looks a bit shitty here in the photos, but it’s actually painted in a fluorescent orange and stands out rather strongly in hand. You can almost see it in the torn version. Photos, eh? Regardless, these are going to be part of my smaller-than-expected contribution to Dave Stone’s Apocalypse Me challenge. I know that Zom’tober is actually being run this month, but I’m not famiuliar with the blogger running it this year, and I don’t have the energy right now to go throught he introductions for what looks to be just a few models this year…

Nice work on these. Maybe after Orktober I might get to more zombies……………………..might!

Thanks Guru! Same turned to be true for me since I didn’t get those zombies done with my substantially reduced painting pace after the surgery. No matter, they’ll still get done in the end!

Great job on these two and that really does look like the suplex and submission machine that is Tazz! 🙂 The time you spent going back on the mini was well worth it in my book!

Thankls mate – the Schiavane figure would look good with an AEW shirt as well, but I put all that work into the Spider-Man t-shirt that I couldn’t wipe that one in good conscience!

No, protect the work you put into Tony for sure. I think one day, you should start a wrestling themed side project. I bet you could do some really fun stuff with that!

It’d be cool for sure, but the only real wrestling minis I’ve seen out there are for that Rumbleslam game, which aren’t so great. Maybe some quality 3d print STLs will come up some day!

Or there may be a crazy sculptor that also likes wrestling that has a few ideas brewing for a range called Wrestling the Apocalypse, watch this space for more ! LOL

That is a bummer but I know what you mean. The minis gotta make you want to paint them. Maybe one day we’ll get an AEW miniatures game 🙂 Make it happen, Tony Khan!

Maybe with a decent licensor, but I imagine the rights fees would be way too much for something that would barely sell to our demo – imagine them doing it with someone they chose themselves and their own input after Fight Forever! 😮

Great work on all three mate, I think the jacket has the right amount of faded areas to make it look old, the only other thing to make leather look old is cracking, but that is probably a step too far ! LOL The additions on the shirt certainly make it part of team Taz.

Yeah agreed – though cracking on a tiny thin mid-tier model like this one is a bridge too far for me! Now I just need to find a figure vaguely resembling Hook!
