And now my final normal model painted in January – another one of the Marvel Crisis Protocol Core Set models – Captain Marvel. I also finished Captain Marvel before Venom and just changed the order of posting so I could put her up at the start of #Fembruary.
I started Captain Marvel alongside Black Widow a year ago in February for the #Fembruary painting challenge, and just like Widow, I didn’t get much done – even less than Widow in fact. So along with Black Widow and Venom, I basically did the whole thing sans assembly and basing in January.
The painting was pretty straightforward. I wanted a different skin tone to Widow and so went for a more tanned look rather than the paler complexion I gave Natasha. There’s a touch of Dark Sea Green in the base and shadows of Carol’s blue suit, and I decided in the end to go with yellow rather than gold for the trim. Everything else was pretty straightforward.
Still four to go from the core set, but unlkely I’ll have any more completed this weekend unfortunately. And yes, yet again this model qualifies for Dave Stone’s current Paint what You Got challenge.
