After that brief diversion to post up those couple of scenery pieces that just edged into the start of September, I’m back to posting the August stuff that hasn’t yet been seen. So here’s (another!) pair of Zombicide Survivors from the Season 3 Core set – Rue Morgue.
Our first model is “Bear” I think the model does a good job of representing the name – or maybe vice versa.
If I had more time, I might have added a few tatoos to ol’ Bear here, but I do think he looks pretty good without any, the artwork doesn’t depict any, and I think he’d still look good either way.
Next we have Jane. Or as always pops into my head – “Sweet Jane”. I think it’s an unconscious couple of steps from a character named Jane with a Cowboy hat to the Cowboy Junkies rendition of the song “Sweet Jane”.
Jane pulls off the dual-weilding, double-denim outfit pretty well, I think.
I do quite like both of these figures and I look forward to using them in-game one day! They have a nice simplicity to them both in pose and palette and don’t feel over-designed as so many other models do these days (including many of their Zombicide compatriots.)

Nice work on these like the shading on both models.

Thanks mate – I added a little bit of extra glazing to the shaded areas on these two.

All four look excellent mate, can see what you mean on the tats but he looks just as good without.

Thanks Dave – the art for this guy has him clean so I’ve just gone with that – plenty more models to paint that can have ink on them, after all!

Both of these came out well and I don’t mind seeing more “generic” heroes for Zombicide. Obviously, the celebrity ones are fun but sometimes its nice to have an “average Joe” in the game too, I would think.

Yeah, the core sets and retail expansions tend to have the generic survivors while most of the KS-exclusive ones are “inspired by” ones. The main exceptions are the Guest Artist Packs which I don’t think they did with 2nd Edition, though I’ve got a stack of 4 of them across the room to crack open once I finish all the stuff that’s gotten through the priming and cleaning process.
