Star Wars Legion: The Desert General (Anvilrage Miniatures 3D Print) General Veers Proxy

Back to the 3D prints today, though in a slightly different context. This one is a sculpt from Anvilrage Studios, formerly known as SEB miniatures, a sculptor who specialises in models from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. I picked up this print from a fellow on eBay known as Garfie’s Games, who has quite a nice selection of general SW miniatures and SWL-compatable ones as well. And yes, I purchased this figure – and all the other models from him that you’ll see in the future where Garfie gets a mention –  it’s just my normal shout-out to smaller businesses and creators who give good service or are nice people.

The Desert General is very likely a specific proxy for General Veers in Legion, though in this case dressed more lightly for a desert table than the snow. Of course, there’s nothing stopping anyone from just using the model as an Imperial Officer or Operative. Personally, I just always liked the sculpt as it gives off Rommel vibes to me, and so picked it up when I saw it for sale.

In this case, his armour is based on Scout Armour plates rather than Snowtrooper plates as Veers’ armour is – which has now morphed into standard Imperial Army armour of all kinds as seen in Solo, Andor and pretty much everywhere else.

Anyway – another nice little model that I’m quite happy I was able to pick up and even get painted(!)

  1. Excellent work on a great looking model, as Star Wars cannon, and expanded universe keep adding new armour all the time, there really is nothing stopping any of us using what we like the look of, and this certainly fits in the universe perfectly.
