Blood Bowl 3e: Chaos Dwarf Team Minotaur – C34 Ox Roar, Chaos Champion of Ultimate Slaughter! Team Complete!

Blood Bowl 3rd edition Chaos Dwarfs, Zharr-Naggrund Ziggurats, Hthark the Unstoppable, Ox Roar, Chaos Champion of Ultimate Slaughter, Minotaur, Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaur

So hey! I finally found that missing Minotaur that fit the old-school ethos of my Chaos Dwarfs, allowing me to finally complete the team! Like, properly and fully.

Blood Bowl 3e: Chaos Dwarf Team Minotaur - C34 Ox Roar, Chaos Champion of Ultimate Slaughter

This Minotaur is actually from a generation of models preceding this 3rd Edition Chaos Dwarf team, and so he’d work well with the Original Chaos Dwarf players. As it happened, I really did not like the 3rd Edition Blood Bowl Minotaur player model at all, so I went looking for an alternative option. That option turning out to be one of the really old-school C34 Minotaur Lords range, named “Ox Roar, Chaos Champion of Ultimate Slaughter”. I originally painted Ox-Roar here a number of years back, though his shoulder pauldron was a different colour, not one that fits the current Chaos Dwarf colour scheme. I got him a long, long time ago, and set about removing his axe so he could be a Blood Bowl player – he looked perfect for the role – I mean, just look at him and his gladiatorial-themed gear!

That meant that once I found the large, hirsuite fellow, all I’d need to do would be to repaint the pauldron, touch up any chipped/scuffed or damaged paint, add the appropriate player number, and he’d be read to smash heads on the Blood Bowl pitch once again- or butt heads, painful given that third hornm he has in the middle of his forehead!

And that’s that! Now that this team is completely, err, completed, I’ve finally removed the last mental block stopping me from going back and completing one of the two other somewhat-painted teams I need to update for the modern day. There’s my oldhammer++ Orcs and also my “middlehammer” Khemri team. Which to work on… which to work on…

Blood Bowl 3e: Chaos Dwarf Team – Chaos Dwarf Blockers!

Blood Bowl 3e: Chaos Dwarf Team - Chaos Dwarf Blockers

Well, despite the current news of shitty actions and non-answers by WordPress towards their customers and users, the blog goes on for the time being. After all, I paid for this fucking thing and I’m going to continue to use it while my money has it locked in rather than boycott something I’ve already paid for – while looking at other options.

I’d have posted these Chaos Dwarfs up last week, but as fate would have it, when I took the photographs of them it eventuated that I’d left one of them on the painting desk, so it wasn’t until just now that I got back out to take these new photos of the whole gang.

Blood Bowl 3e: Chaos Dwarf Team - Chaos Dwarf Blockers

Back in 3rd edition, when this team was minted, Chaos Dwarf teams could have up to 6 Chaos Dwarf Blockers. Today, that limit remains the same. So with that said, no I do not recall why I added three more to the team – perhaps there were three models in the WHFB blister that I converted the extras from?

When these are added to the Hobgoblins already painted as well as the Bull Centaurs, I’ve actually got a complete team here …except for one more addition. A Minotaur. I actually have the perfect model for it, but despite looking around in the last week, I’ve not had any luck finding it. The model in question has already been converted from it’s WHFB origins and is almost complete in terms of painting as well, so once work breaks for Easter, I’ll be having a good ol’ look again for it so I can call this team properly complete, done and dusted.
