Today’s Zombicide survivors are a pair of cool looking, manly suit wearing men with guns from the mid-to-late nineties. Travolta and Kilmer. I’ll probably have a run of daily posts so I can catch up more quickly, while still keeping posts with similar figures in pairs, as they’re easier for me to find when looking for something here. (And easier for people to google, I guess!)
The unusual part of this particular model is that back during the Kickstarter, the usual “game” of working out who the different CMoN Kickstarter Exclusive/Promo characters are “inspired by” came up with two options for the Kris character. Those two being Travolta in Pulp Fiction and Kilmer from Heat. If I recall correctly, backers could add on additional stretch goal survivors as paid extras, so I did the only thing that I could do – I picked up two of Kris so I could paint him as both of the film characters. Because that’s a normal thing to do, right?
So, yeah. Vincent Vega in his black suit, sans tie. Kind of a hybrid of the jacket that he wears for most of the film, and the no-tie look that he has when taking Uma Thurman out for a nice dance and overdose.
While taking the photos earlier, I noticed that I missed adding some blood to the back of his suit, so I’ve gone back and added that since then. Not that it helps this picture, but hey….
Val on the other hand (because who actually remembers the name of his character from that film?) wears a grey suit, and while he also wears a waistcoat (and body armour, and mag pouches, etc) in some scenes, he’s also seen wearing just the jacket over his white shirt.
And that’s my next four Zombicide survivor figures done – four models this time for one character card. Makes perfect sense…
Both versions look great!

Thanks mate – it’s certainly a fun and accessible board game – playable solo and something both you and Milou could enjoy if you’re interested in the genre! 🙂

Excellent work on both versions mate, and can fully understand the need for painting it two ways ! LOL

Oh, I find it particularly interesting that you envisioned both versions and that they both work so nice! Pretty cool job on them 🙂

Yeah, I couldn’t decide when the campaign was active so just decided to spend the little extra to get both, so I could eventually paint both versions. 🙂

These look great and you can immediately tell who they’re inspired by which I think is credit to your painting. I’m looking forward to more Zombicide minis as you get around to them! 🙂

Thanks Kuribo! I went on a bit of a Zombicide survivor run late last month, so there’s a few more to show in the coming days!
